Thierry Henry has named Barcelona star as favourite to win Ballon d’Or ahead of Mohamed Salah, who scored from the penalty spot.

Salah is currently being considered among the shortlist for the Ballon d’Or award. After a breakout season for Liverpool, in which he has scored 32 goals and provided 22 assists in all competitions. Helping the Reds move 15 points clear of second-placed Arsenal.

However, Thierry Henry has revealed that the Egyptian winger is now behind Barcelona star Rafinha as the favourite to win the award, with the Brazilian joining the La Liga giants from Leeds in 2022 and has scored 27 goals and provided 19 assists this season.

Rafinha is the top scorer in this season’s Champions League with 11 goals, while Salah has three in the competition.

The former Arsenal striker highlighted Rafinha’s success in Europe, with Barcelona reaching the quarter-finals. While also noting that Salah and Harry Kane’s goal tallies have increased with penalties. 

Although Rafinha has only scored one penalty in all competitions this season, Salah has scored 11 from the spot.
